In phase 3 of the Whirlwind cycle, water droplets, or cleaning agent if that is preferred, are introduced into the vortex airflow.
The combination of airflow and water droplets cleans the inner surface of the pipework.
Through only minimal water or cleaning agent usage, significant savings associated with water conservation and reduced waste/effluent can be made. |

A little difficult to see air on the video, but if you look really attentively you'll see a stream of vortex airflow, the action of which dries the pipework surface.
The air can be warmed as required to speed the already short drying period, and also warm the pipework ready for re-use.

Sims wanted a line that would handle the product carefully, increase their output and at the same time reduce the staffing levels on the line. All this was achieved and the line is now running at over 60 trays/minute, 7 days/week. |
