| Description |
The TopControl Continuous Type 8630 controller works as an electropneumatic positioner for pneumatically actuated control valves with piston actuators.
This includes series 2702, 2712, 2730, 2731 and 2731K valves, as well as ball and butterfly valves with pneumatic rotary actuators, and third party sanitary control valves.
The TopControl Continuous Type 8630 controller uses three-wire technology (24VDC power supply, PROFIBUS DP or DeviceNet), direct-acting pilot valves (actuator size 80/100mm) or is servo-assisted (actuator size /175/225mm) and is available as a single- or double-acting unit.
The compact design is combined with Bürkert's piston actuators and is built using housing materials that are corrosion-resistant - plastic (NORYL) and stainless steel.
The optionally intergrated process controller (PID) includes process-tune functionality, 4-20mA sensor input, Pt100 control or frequency control.
The operation and software structure is common throughout Bürkert's positioner family, including SideControllers Type 8635 and Type 1067. The 8630 uses the same housing as the Control Head Type 8631 TopControl On/Off.
The control system may be used for a variety of control tasks in fluid technology.
